Mrs. Lang

My name is Mrs. Lang. I am the preK teacher for both Montezuma and Copeland schools. This is my seventh year of teaching. I graduated Fort Hays State University with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Unified. After college I taught 3 and 4 year olds for 6 months in Wichita at Envision Child Center. I then accepted a job here and love it ever since. Teaching young children is my passion. I love to greet little smiling faces everyday and watch them grow into little learners. My biggest job this year is to help each individual student become the best they can be!

I currently reside in Copeland with my husband of 5 years, Slade. We have three kids, Brooklyn 8, Brynlee 3, and Braxton 9 months. We love to spend time together outside exploring new things.

Rules - If the student follows the rules they are rewarded with verbal praise and a smiley face for the day. If the student cannot follow the rules, then I will talk with the student and we will discuss how we should act in order to follow the rules. If they continue to not follow the rules, they will lose their smiley face and be asked to use a safe spot to reflect and gather themselves. If needed I will call the parents to discuss how we can change the behavior. When the students receive 5 smiley faces they receive a prize out of my treasure chest.

Show and Tell - We will do Show and tell once a week on a rotation. Your child will be able to bring something from home that they are able to carry once a month. If they are absent for their turn that week, they will have to wait until their turn the next month. I will be sending a schedule home of the show and tell rotation in September.

Book Orders - I will be sending order forms home once a month. Please do not feel as though you need to purchase a book. This is one way to get books for your child at a reasonable price. Book orders are sent home on a Monday and need to be returned to school Thursday. You may send cash or write a check to Scholastic Book Club.

Birthdays - If your child would like to celebrate their birthday at the school, please let me know a couple days ahead of time. Birthdays times can be flexible. If they have a summer birthday and would like to have a classroom party just let me know when you would like to have it.
