Philosophy of Education

Use my classroom as an opportunity to represent my faith in Christ.

Years Teaching

BS in Mathematics Education from Friends University. Currently working on my Masters' degree in Mathematics from Emporia State.

Married my wife, Mallorie. Father to my children, Everett and Esli.

My faith: FCA huddle leader @ SGHS. My wife and I are involved with our church (Morningside). I have been a church camp counselor for several years. Most recently I've been a counselor/worship leader @ KanOk Bible Camp. Occasionally I will lead worship for the high school youth group in Montezuma.

Music: I play the piano. My son has taken an interest in banging on the keys as well and it makes me proud. Worship leader as stated above. I love to worship Jesus through music.

Sports: Basketball and track coach @ SGHS. I love to watch sports (Jayhawks, Chiefs, Royals, Celtics).

Other Tidbits.......

Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Books: The Bible (although admittedly I don't read it as much as I should), anything by John Grisham, the original Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Favorite Movies: All Star Wars, All Lord of the Rings, All The Hobbit (I'm a nerd)
Favorite Foods: Anything with a lot of sugar (sorry, Mom. I'll try to do better.)
Favorite Quote: "Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do." - John Wooden
Some Favorite Songs: Too many to name. Mostly worship music, though. Elevation Worship and Chris Tomlin top the list for me.

I have a wife (Mallorie) and two children (Everett and Esli).

I love to spend time with them, as well as our individual families. Together, Mallorie and I have 16 nieces and nephews.

Family is very important to us and we try to spend as much time with them as we can.
