From Mr. Zehr: Posting a reminder of the big day for South Gray schools a week from tomorrow (Saturday, August 19th). The agenda is as follows:
4:45 p.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in front of the new high school entrance.
5:00 p.m. Free Community Feed catered by South Gray graduate John Ross and Company.
6:15 Opening of the Time Capsule found in the old high school.
6:30 p.m. Gym Floor Design and Artwork Reveal
6:45 p.m. New School Dedication and Open House Tour.

Reminders: 1. Enrollment is next week!!! MES & SGHS - M, T, Th & F. MES, come any time between 8-4. SGHS your appointment time is scheduled. CES & SGJH - Wednesday 7a-7p. 2. For MES & CES students who were selected: Summer Camp will be M-Th, 8:00-2:00.
Montezuma Schools will not have electricity today due to construction, therefore offices are closed. We will be back open tomorrow (Thursday) around 9:00am.
South Gray High School Football players that are going out for football in the 2023 season. First practice will be August 14th at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. We will be using the locker room in the old gym. Enter the old gym northwest door. Make sure you have a physical and your concussion form on file in the office with Becky before August 14th. We will check out helmets at the end of practice.
Juniors and Seniors interested in Public Speaking through DC3: another class has been created! Please email Miss Axtell (shelby@usd371.org) for help with enrolling in this course.

Reminder: DC3 will be here tomorrow, Tuesday the 18th at 1:00 pm, to help any junior or senior enroll in college courses. Please bring an electronic device and your DC3 student ID.
SPORTS PHYSICALS: If you are still in need of getting a physical for this year, Cassie Davis will be at the grade school on August 11 from 8a-4p. The cost is $25 and the family information needs to be filled out before hand.
Calling all juniors and seniors interested in college courses for the upcoming year! If you need assistance with enrolling for these courses, join us on July 18th at 1:00 pm. Students will need to bring an electronic device and their student ID.
You must have qualifying ACT or Accuplacer scores to take college courses. If you have not taken either of these, you need to contact Miss Axtell ASAP!
From Coach Carey: SGJH football camp will be July 17th-21st from 7:30-9 PM in Montezuma at the practice field.

Please reserve August 19th, 2023 on your calendar to join the USD # 371 Board of Education and Administration in a celebration of events for your school district. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. there will be a community feed catered by John Ross. At 6:15, we will open the time capsule and share a letter found in the old high school building. Immediately after the opening of the time capsule, we will reveal the new design painted on our gym floor. The event will culminate with an open house and tour of the new high school and early childhood addition. This is an exciting time for our school and we would like for you to join in the celebration.
