No vocal contest tomorrow for our students!
I have been monitoring the weather forecast which included a Zoom meeting discussion with area Superintendents today. Although it is uncommon for me to cancel school on a forecast (4"+ snow & wind gusts 40+), I feel the current information warrants the cancellation of school for USD 371 and USD 476 on Wednesday, February 15th. The snow is expected to begin after the school day starts. Rather than an early release, which can be more hectic for parents, I would rather error on the side of safety and cancel the entire day. Thank you for understanding.

More MJE field trip pictures.

4th/5th Graders went to MJE. It was a great learning opportunity for the students.

The dance is over. Students are leaving the building! Notes: 3 chaperones are perfect. 2 to monitor exits and one to monitor bathrooms. Every dance from now until the end of time shall end in the playing of the school fight song! Finally, Keegan was an amazing dj and stuco was awesome with setting up and tearing down! Well done!! 🕺sleep well!!

Goal post

In honor of the Super Bowl, the 4th and 5th graders build goal post as a STEM project. After building the goal post, they made an origami football. They then tried to make 10 field goals. They used math by writing their makes as a fraction, dividing the fraction and then making a percentage.
