This is next week when our junior high goes to Bucklin. Please help if you can.

HSBB: Friday 1/10/25 and Saturday 1/11/25

Parents,
I am updating you with information I have received since I became aware of the PowerSchool data breach. Attached is a statement from PowerSchool. I will be on a webinar at 10:00 a.m. this morning with PowerSchool and administrators from across the U.S.

Parents,
I just read a post from KWCH TV that there has been a data breach at PowerSchool, which is the student information system that is used by Montezuma USD 371 and Copeland USD 476. At this time, I do not know if any of our students data was breached. I am waiting for some correspondence from PowerSchool or KSDE. as soon as I gathering information, I will share what I know. Mr. Zehr

Congratulations to the following South Gray Rebels basketball players for making the All-Tournament Team at the Windmill Classic tournament in Spearville:

We hope you've had a Merry Christmas & look forward to a New Year! Enjoy this episode of the Rebel-Ed Podcast. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0AADM6SC1HRojNItgcPRrt?si=4dYz6VlZSoKWGxbYhUVChg

MES 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders collected food items for the Gray County Food Bank in lieu of a gift exchange this year. Happy Holidays!

We will also be recognizing the 2023-24 Girls and Boys Basketball teams Friday night. The recognition will take place after the varsity girls game.

We are thankful for FSP for buying the game out Friday 12/20/24 South Gray vs Ingalls. Come out and support your rebel basketball teams, and thank FSP for buying the game out.

All HS BB games being played in the main gym vs Ingalls on Friday, Dec. 20th will be live-streamed on SGRebels.tv.

On Wednesday December 18, Mrs. Patterson took the Copeland 4th and 5th Graders caroling in downtown Copeland. The students sounded wonderful and did a great job singing Christmas Cheer for All to Hear! 🎄

Wednesday, December 18th, Montezuma 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders went caroling at Bethel Home and downtown.

I am still in need of an individual who would like to operate the live stream camera for home HS basketball games. The individual will be compensated on a per game basis. I would prefer someone who is dependable and able to attend the majority of the home games. If I don't find a camera operator, our home games will not be live streamed. Please contact Mr. Zehr if interested.

Parents just a reminder when you are having your child ride home with a friend on the route bus you need to inform the grade school office. Kelly will then notify the bus driver that they have permission to ride the bus. If the driver is not aware of the new student the student will not be allowed to ride the bus. This is a safe guard so the school knows where the students are.

Montezuma 3rd/4th graders completed a project based learning project about running their own tree farm. To culminate the project, they went to Headrick’s Christmas Tree Farm in Mullinville. It was a fun AND cold morning of learning about a real life tree farm.

Congratulations to Miss Breanna Mast on being awarded USD 476's Red Apple award. We are very appreciative of Miss Breanna's hard work and dedication in our lunch room keeping our students well nourished! She serves the best lunches and has so much fun with our students each day! We are so thankful she is at Copeland each and every day! 🍎
