Calling all juniors and seniors interested in college courses for the upcoming year! If you need assistance with enrolling for these courses, join us on July 18th at 1:00 pm. Students will need to bring an electronic device and their student ID.
You must have qualifying ACT or Accuplacer scores to take college courses. If you have not taken either of these, you need to contact Miss Axtell ASAP!

From Coach Carey: SGJH football camp will be July 17th-21st from 7:30-9 PM in Montezuma at the practice field.
Patrons,
Please reserve August 19th, 2023 on your calendar to join the USD # 371 Board of Education and Administration in a celebration of events for your school district. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. there will be a community feed catered by John Ross. At 6:15, we will open the time capsule and share a letter found in the old high school building. Immediately after the opening of the time capsule, we will reveal the new design painted on our gym floor. The event will culminate with an open house and tour of the new high school and early childhood addition. This is an exciting time for our school and we would like for you to join in the celebration.
Parents and Guardians,
The Kansas Education Enrichment Program provides qualifying parents and guardians with a $1,000 award per eligible student to pay for a variety of educational goods and services that promote learning. You may apply at www.keep.ks.gov or access the link on the districts website under the menu tab.

Correction. The pallet of bricks I posted about earlier are only form the old elementary. The bricks from the old high school are larger and don't have holes in them. There will be some of those available at a later date. Sorry for the misinformation.
There is a pallet of bricks from both the old elementary and old high school if you would like to have one. The red bricks are from the old high school. The pallet is on the east sidewalk of the high school demolition site.

Repurposed the stone coins off the old high school onto the exterior of the new high school. We plan to repurpose approximately 95% of the stone coins and facade off the old high school.

Lost & ....not yet found from the Montezuma Elementary & SGHS new gym. Claim in the MES office.

The brick cleaners are on site and will begin cleaning bricks this afternoon. The bricks that have been cleaned and stacked or put on pallets, are not for the taking! The pile by the road is for the taking.
If you would like to have a brick from the old elementary school, there is a pile next to the curb. You are free to grab one, but please wait until the demolition company is done for the day.

From PTO!!
Congratulations to the winners of the $100 VISA Giftcards from the Montezuma PTO:
Robin McMillan and Harold Koehn
Cards will be delivered after lunch!!
Copied from Brooke Jantz... League Champions!!! Tough day on the course but the team prevailed! Gavin tied for 1st and had a competitive playoff for 2nd, Jaxon tied for 3rd and another competitive playoff for 4th place, and Cameron tied for 5th and won his playoff. Keegan came in clutch with the 4th score and Carter pulled in the last score. I love this team because they all work for each other and they never leave the last guy behind. Excited to see the post-season and hopefully see their hard work pay off!
