Apparently I need to be a little more clear so let's try this message. The physicals for Copeland 5th graders, and all current SG grade 6-8 students who plan to participate in athletics for the 2023-2024 school year, your physicals are now scheduled for Wednesday, May 10th at 1:00 p.m. The physicals will take place at the South Gray Junior High School gym. You must have your paperwork completed and signed. Also payment is due at the time of the physical.
Due to the JH track teams participating in a rescheduled track meet tomorrow, the JH physicals scheduled for Friday, May 5th have been postponed at this time. We are trying to arrange a make up date prior to the end of school but that may happen.
We have found a JH track meet to replace the Ashland meet that was canceled for today. We will go to Dighton tomorrow Friday 5/5. The meet will start at 10:00am. Bus 12 will depart Copeland at 8:05. The order of events is listed below.

Continuing on with their winning ways, taking the home meet! Jaxon with the individual champion...Cameron 2nd (tied with Jaxon), and Gavin with a 4th place.
Jaxon and Cameron each shot a 75, Gavin 76. Carter and Keegan play a very important part of this team as well. It takes each one of them to win first as a team.
Just a reminder the Montezuma Clinic will be coming to the schools to doing physicals this week for the students wanting to participate in activities for next year. The HS will be Wednesday May 3 at 1:30pm, the JH will be Friday May 5 at 9:00am.
There will be a baccalaureate for the Class of 2023 held at Morningside Community Church on Sunday, May 7th at 7:00 pm. Parents, family, and the community are welcome to attend! There will be a reception to follow.

The MES 5th grade took their end of year field trip to Wichita today. First stop was the Museum of World Treasures where they learned about the past and how it shaped our future. Next, we headed to the trampoline park to burn off some energy. Finally, we ended our day with some delicious Chick-Fil-A. A wonderful time was had by all!
Due to the wind and transportation JH track practice is cancelled today.
From coach:: Another win. The boys shot a 339. Gavin shot even par 72 and Cameron and Jaxon shot 80. Went 1,2,3 individually.
We have a few changes on the calendar that I wanted to make you aware of.
1. May 9th: This is the makeup day for the Haskel County Relays @ Sublette 3:00pm
2. May 9th: The HS JV golf meet @ SG has been cancelled.
3. May 12: The HS League track meet is at Satanta, not Minneola. It will start at 3:00pm
4. The HS Regional track meet is on Friday May 19 @ Tribune. It starts at 3:00pm
5. The HS Regional golf meet is on May 15, @ Tribune. It starts at 9:00am
Montezuma 4th Grade went to the Carnegie Art Center and Southwest Livestock for an afternoon field trip. Oh and we went to McDonalds for an afternoon snack. Thank you to Mary Harden, Adam Lowery and Kim Rome!!
