JH Basketball will start on Wed, 10/22. Girls will practice in Montezuma old gym. Boys will practice in Copeland. No practice on 10/21, 10/24, & 10/27.

Students in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) class recently toured High Plains Ponderosa Dairy in Plains, Kansas. During the visit, students learned firsthand about dairy production, feed, herd, and health management, lab technicians, and the advanced technology they use in their dairy operations. A highlight of the trip was the maternity ward, where students enjoyed seeing newborn calves and learning about the care they receive after birth. Thank you High Plains Ponderosa Dairy for allowing us this amazing educational opportunity.

SGJH 7th graders are studying Kansas history. Students did some research on how the Big Basin was formed and found out it is basically a big sinkhole. After researching, they took a field trip today to see the Big Basin, St. Jacob’s Well, Pioneer Krier Museum in Ashland and Clark County Lake. Mrs. Moyer's dad, Rob Scott (retired Bucklin Junior High social studies teacher), was their personal tour guide for the day.
